Class 1 Multidrop Driver Days - Newly Qualified Drivers Welcome To Apply
Location: Bury St Edmunds
Shift times: 07:30 starts – 10 hour guaranteed pay per shift
Pay Rate: £16.38 per hour
We are looking for full-time Class 1 Days Drivers to join our site in Bury St Edmunds. This Monday–Friday role starts between 07:00 and 07:30 and usually involves 10–12 hour days. There is a 10-hour daily guarantee, so even if you finish early you are paid for a minimum of 10 hours.
What you'll do on a typical day:
- Multidrop deliveries between customer sites + 1 collection
- Average 12–14 drops across East Anglia – drops all in similar postcode areas
- Safely operate your vehicle adhering to business standards
- Use pallet truck to unload pallets when a customer forklift driver is not available
- Use a handheld scanner and complete relevant paperwork
- Perform vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with VOSA
What you need to succeed with our client:
- Must have multidrop experience
- HGV1 licence, Digital Tachograph Card, Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
- No more than six penalty points on your licence and no DD, DR, IN or CD endorsements
- ADR preference is a plus but not required
- Excellent knowledge of the UK road network
- A can‑do attitude
