Adults Speech and Language Therapist – TieTalent
Location: Care First – Pheasey, Walsall area, Birmingham
Salary: up to £53,200 (depending on experience) plus £3,000 Welcome Bonus (one payment of £1,500 after 1 month and a further £1,500 after completion of final probation; terms apply)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent – 52 weeks
There is an industry trial of a 4-Day Working Week. If successful, the approach may be rolled out across the Group. This is part of a trial and not a contractual benefit.
About the role
You will implement a holistic, therapeutic approach to helping adults in daily life, ensuring they are safe, comfortable and healthy. You will undertake all aspects of Speech and Language Therapy clinical duties, including:
* Carrying out individual assessments and interventions
* Preparing relevant documentation and reports
* Providing information and training to staff, commissioners and other agencies as required
Our Clinical Teams support services to maintain a nurturing environment, prioritising safeguarding and involvement of adults in decisions affecting them. We aim to deliver excellent outcomes for adults with learning difficulties, autism, mental health difficulties and related needs.

Essential criteria
* Speech and Language Therapy degree
* Registered with HCPC and RCSLT or RCOT
* 1–2 years’ experience as a fully registered RCSLT member in a similar setting
* Clear and concise report writing relating to clinical and research activities
* Ability to work independently under supervision
* Experience of multi-professional teams or services within the designated specialty
* Previous experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities
* Full UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle
