Description
* Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.
* Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations.
* Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
* Analyse financial data and provide insights to improve business performance.
* Oversee VAT returns and other statutory reporting requirements.
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate financial records are maintained.
* Support the external audit process by providing necessary documentation and analysis.
* Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency within the finance team.
Profile
A successful Interim Financial Accountant should have:
* A recognised accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, or ACA).
* Proven experience in financial accounting within the industrial/manufacturing sector.
* Strong understanding of UK accounting standards and regulations.
* Proficiency in financial systems and advanced Excel skills.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
