This is a hands-on role supporting a fast-moving, high-volume production environment. Youll be responsible for ensuring machinery uptime, site reliability, and delivering engineering improvements across the facility.This role would suit someone who thrives in a busy manufacturing setting, enjoys problem-solving, and is confident maintaining and improving a wide range of equipment.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide electrical and mechanical maintenance support across the site.Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to breakdowns in a timely and safe manner.Diagnose faults, identify root causes, and implement long-term corrective actions.Support continuous improvement projects, including equipment upgrades and reliability initiatives.Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime and optimise equipment performance.Ensure compliance with site health & safety policies, engineering standards, and statutory requirements.Participate in on-call rota (if applicable).Maintain accurate engineering records and asset histories.Skills & Experience RequiredStrong electrical maintenance background (17th/18th Edition preferred).Experience in FMCG, food manufacturing, or a similar high-speed production environment isessential.Knowledge of PLCs, automated machinery, and modern production equipment.Mechanical experience beneficial (e.g., conveyor systems, gearboxes, pneumatics).Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.Able to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.Good understanding of health & safety and safe working practices.QualificationsRecognised electrical engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, HNC/HND, NVQ, or equivalent).18th Edition wiring regulations (or willingness to update).Right to Work RequirementPlease note: We are unable to consider applicants who do not hold full, unrestricted UK working rights.
