About the role
We are seeking a HGV Waste Water Operative to join our team to work alongside a United Utilities Customer Support Technician, on the Bucket 1 reactive contract solving problems on the sewer network.

Rochdale
Hours
42.5 hours per week. This role is on a shift-based pattern with working times of 8am to 6pm (front shift) and 12pm to 10pm (back shift). Weekends and Bank Holidays are included.
Salary
£33,326-£37,525 per annum (depending on experience). Overtime rates are offered for weekday, weekend and Bank Holiday work at X1.5.

Responsibilities
* Work closely with a CST (UU Operative) to clean, camera and carry out sewer investigations as directed by United Utilities.
* Attend to customers, inform them of works to be carried out and answer any concerns as well as timescales.
* Inspect drainage systems to identify blockages, leaks, or damage that could hinder water flow.
* Carry out all aspects of high pressure water jetting.
* Operate high-pressure water jetting equipment to clean and clear blockages in drains, sewers, pipes, and other wastewater systems.
* Carry out CCTV inspections where required to assess the condition of underground pipes and sewers.
* Be competent in using an electronic device - laptop/tablet for data entry purposes.
* Ensure safety issues are reported in line with company procedures.
* Perform routine maintenance and servicing of high-pressure water jetting equipment to ensure it is in proper working order.
Requirements
* HGV Class 2 licence (required)
* Driver’s licence mandatory with no more than 6 penalty points
Desirable
* Experience with JHL City Flex’s, or training is provided.
* Experience of High Pressure Jetting would be advantageous – training would be provided.
* Excellent listening and communication skills
* Competent in IT, accurate data entry
* Team player
* Positive, can-do attitude
*Full training will be given in the following: Jetting/SLG/First Aid/Manual Handling/Confined Spaces*
