Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Workshop Manager to oversee our workshop operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in managing a team, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. This role requires a hands-on approach, with responsibilities including equipment repair, maintenance, and customer service.
Responsibilities
* Supervise daily workshop activities and manage the workflow of tasks.
* Oversee the assembly and repair of equipment, ensuring adherence to schematics.
* Utilise hand tools and power tools for various maintenance and repair tasks.
* Conduct regular inspections of workshop equipment to ensure proper functioning.
* Provide guidance and training to team members on best practices in welding and heavy lifting.
* Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing health and safety regulations.
* Address customer inquiries and provide exceptional service to enhance customer satisfaction.
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely completion of projects.
Experience
* Proven experience in a workshop or mechanical environment is essential.
* Strong understanding of schematics and mechanical systems.
* Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
* Experience in equipment repair and maintenance is highly desirable.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role.
* Excellent customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction.
