We're looking for an experienced Compliance Monitoring Analyst to join us at what is an exciting stage of our journey. Working within our Compliance and Risk team, you will play a key role in ensuring our adherence to FCA regulations through proactive monitoring, testing and desktop reviews. You'll work closely with our Compliance Manager, Financial Crime Manager and our Operations and Sales teams to uphold our commitment to regulatory compliance and delivering good consumer outcomes. What You'll Do. Conduct regular monitoring and testing of business processes, including desktop reviews of hire purchase agreements, customer onboarding and transaction records to ensure compliance with FCA rules (e.g. CONC, SYSC and PRIN). Conduct desktop reviews with a primary focus on Consumer Duty outcomes testing and assurance, evaluating customer journeys, ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations for fair treatment and positive outcomes, setting action plans and making recommendations. Provide oversight of first-line third-party introducer onboarding processes and ongoing monitoring, including reviewing documentation, risk assessments and compliance checks to mitigate third-party risks. Perform thematic reviews and spot checks on areas such as sustainability of affordability assessments, complaints handling and fair treatment of customers. Analyse data and documentation to identify potential compliance breaches, gaps in controls, or areas for enhancement and document findings in detailed reports. Assist in the development and execution of the annual compliance monitoring plan, prioritising high-risk activities. Collaborate with the Financial Crime team to integrate monitoring efforts with anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorist financing (CTF) checks where overlaps exist. Support internal/external audits and regulatory requests for information/inspections by preparing evidence and responding to queries. Stay updated on FCA regulatory changes and industry best practices, contributing to policy updates and staff training materials. Use compliance tools and software to track issues, monitor remediation actions and use business data to initiate risk based assessments. Participate in ad-hoc projects, such as FCA’s Motor Finance Consumer Redress Scheme, risk assessments or process improvements, as directed by the Compliance Manager. Support in management of business policy documentation. Your Background and Experience You're a proactive Compliance Analyst, who knows what to look out for and has experience in conducting monitoring, testing and desktop reviews, with a proven ability to analyse complex documentation. You'll be providing written reports and presentations to a wide range of stakeholders up to our Senior Leadership team so strong communication skills are a must. You have detailed knowledge of FCA regulations and will be a proactive problem solver, who can prioritise multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. When an issue arises, you get involved and use your initiative to prioritise your work effectively under pressure and you have the ability to take a step back and analyse/understand the issue to ensure the correct next step is taken.
