Unqualified Maths Teacher
SEMH School, Basingstoke - KS3/KS4
ASAP start - Summer term/possibly perm from September
Academics are recruiting on behalf of a small secondary school in Basingstoke who are looking for a passionate and engaging Maths Teacher - qualified or unqualified to join them ASAP on a full-time contract for the Summer term. There is the possibility of a permanent contract in September for the right person.
They are a short stay school for learners who have been permanently excluded, or are at risk of exclusion. They have the capacity to support up to 42 learners on site and also offer outreach services to support young people in mainstream schools who are facing barriers to inclusion. They also support up to 20 learners through home tuition who, for medical reasons, are unable to attend school.
The suitable Unqualified Maths Teacher will be emotionally intelligent, empathetic, highly motivated and be able to deliver an exciting and engaging Maths curriculum that develops learners’ Maths knowledge and skills, from KS3 - KS4. You will ideally have experience of teaching in an SEN/SEMH school although this role is open to all, including fully qualified Maths Teachers.
