Executive Consultant (Corporate Services) at Venn Group
We are recruiting for a temporary Employee Relations Advisor to join a Midlands public sector organisation. Location: Nottingham/Hybrid – 2/3 days on-site (minimum). Pay rate: £20.50ph via Umbrella (inclusive of holiday pay). Hours: Full-time, Mon – Fri, 37.5 hours. This role is inside IR35. Our client is unable to provide sponsorship for Tier 2 General Visas; only candidates eligible to work in the UK should apply.
Responsibilities
* Provide timely, accurate advice to managers on ER policies, employment law and terms and conditions
* Support managers with ER casework and investigations including disciplinary, grievance, sickness absence, performance, bullying and harassment and organisational change
* Advise on and support effective investigations, hearings and resolution processes ensuring fair and consistent application of policy
* Promote a fair and just culture by encouraging early resolution of workplace concerns and supporting managers with appropriate action
* Guide managers through wellbeing and attendance management including sickness absence and ill-health capability cases
* Support organisational change and consultation processes including redeployment of displaced staff
* Attend committees and meetings providing accurate notes, reports and documentation to support decision-making
* Undertake ad-hoc project work as required and contribute to the broader objectives of the ER function
Requirements
* Proven recent experience within a Human Resources advisory role, including advising on terms and conditions of employment
* Understanding of key employment legislation – existing and prospective
* Excellent advocate for the People Function and ability to build good working relationships with a range of people
* Short notice availability to interview and start a new role
