Description Exclusion Support Assistant | 9266 | Permanent Contract | Part-Time 14.8 hours per week | £25,583 to £25,989 pro rata per annum | Grade D | County Hall / Hybrid The Fair Access and Exclusions Team is looking for a part time Exclusion Support Assistant to support the work of the Exclusion Officer. The post will be for two days a week and will be a job share. One of the main duties of the Fair Access and Exclusion Team is to fulfil the local authority’s statutory duties in respect of exclusion from school including representing the local authority at government disciplinary meetings and independent review panels to ensure that our statutory duties are being discharged, providing advice to head teachers and other school staff on the legislation and procedures on exclusions, as well as offering independent advice to parents on their rights and procedures in relation to exclusions. The main duties of the post include: Manage record keeping for all Norfolk exclusions Support the rest of the team to ensure attendance at exclusion meetings and provide the necessary paperwork to support that process Maintain up to date and accurate information on all aspects of exclusions Support the provision of information to Financial Services, schools and other colleagues Providing advice and guidance to schools and parents on the statutory processes and requirements The post holder must have a good standard of education with the ability to work under minimum supervision. You must have a confident telephone manner and possess strong organisational and communication skills. Excellent computer literacy and keyboard skills. Be a competent user of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word. Accuracy with attention to detail is essential.
