Overview
The primary focus of this post is to plan, coordinate and deliver high quality small to large scale projects across the Hampshire Rights of Way network on behalf of the Hampshire Countryside Service. These projects maintain and enhance public access to the countryside, support active travel, promote health and wellbeing, and protect the county's natural and historic environment. The post holder will liaise with internal teams across Hampshire County Council, external organisations and funding bodies to identify, develop and secure alternative funding streams. Projects are delivered to a high standard, providing tangible benefits to local communities, landowners, visitors and other stakeholders who rely on a safe, resilient and well managed Rights of Way network. Responsibilities
* Plan, coordinate and deliver high quality projects across the Hampshire Rights of Way network on behalf of the Hampshire Countryside Service.
* Liaise with internal teams across Hampshire County Council and with external organisations and funding bodies to identify, develop and secure funding streams.
* Ensure projects are delivered to a high standard with tangible benefits to local communities, landowners, visitors and other stakeholders who rely on a safe, resilient and well managed Rights of Way network.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Strong project-delivery experience, particularly within countryside or outdoor environments.
* Well-developed communication and stakeholder-engagement skills.
* Ability to manage multiple complex projects and a practical understanding of health and safety requirements.
* Confidence using IT and project-planning tools; ability to travel across Hampshire.
* Background in project management, construction techniques, partnership working or Rights of Way networks would be beneficial.
