Production Supervisor Location: Halesowen Salary: £36,000 £37,000 per annum Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00am 2:00pm About the Company Our client is a major forge within the nuclear industry, supplying high-quality forged components to critical engineering and manufacturing sectors. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join their operations team. Job Purpose We are seeking an experienced and motivated Production Supervisor to support daily manufacturing operations while maintaining strict safety, quality, and productivity standards. The successful candidate will help optimise operational efficiency, ensure production targets are achieved, and lead teams to deliver excellent results within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Main Duties & Responsibilities Plan and organise work orders and labour within the department to achieve agreed daily O.T.D. and recoveries while maximising productivity and efficient use of production time Ensure timesheets are completed and booked accurately Ensure parts are produced in accordance with approved quality standards, procedures, route cards, and engineering drawings Maintain standard working practices across all operations, including workflow, WIP quantities, process/cycle times, and procedures Continually monitor production methods and implement improvements through the correct procedures where appropriate Monitor, analyse, and order departmental consumable stock levels Provide daily shift instructions to Production Module operatives Liaise with Manufacturing and Project Engineers to support development of new products and processes Work closely with Quality Engineers to ensure quality standards are achieved and maintained Collaborate with supervisors and managers across departments Liaise with Maintenance teams regarding breakdowns, preventative maintenance, and work orders to minimise downtime and maximise machine availability Develop expertise in machine setup and operation and share knowledge with relevant personnel Ensure 5S principles are fully integrated within the department Adhere to the Health & Safety at Work Act at all times Ensure Environmental Protection Act policies are followed in line with company objectives Maintain departmental disciplinary standards in accordance with company procedures Undertake additional duties within capability as requested by the Operations Manager Experience & Skills Preferred Experience Previous experience within a similar manufacturing or engineering environment Experience managing and leading teams Knowledge of manufacturing processes within the relevant production area Experience working within unionised environments Qualifications Apprenticeship in a manufacturing or engineering discipline Leadership or management qualification desirable IOSH certification preferred Personal Skills & Abilities Strong general IT skills Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and team-building abilities Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to produce clear and concise documentation Strong organisational and time management skills Ability to consistently achieve deadlines Self-motivated with the ability to work on own initiative High attention to detail with strong literacy and numeracy skills Other Requirements Flexibility to work shifts and additional hours when required Responsive and adaptable to business needs What They Offer Competitive salary of £36,000 £37,000 Stable Monday to Friday shift pattern Opportunity to work within a well-established nuclear manufacturing environment Ongoing training and development opportunities To apply, please submit your CV and cover letter detailing your relevant experience.
