SEMH Teaching Assistant - Full-time maternity cover from February 2026We are seeking a caring and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school environment for a maternity cover role starting in February 2026. * Support a small class of pupils with SEMH needs, working closely with the class teacher
* Assist in delivering tailored learning activities and interventions
* Help manage behaviour and promote emotional regulation strategies
* Build positive relationships with pupils to encourage engagement and progress
* Contribute to the development of individual education plans (IEPs)
* Support pupils during transitions, break times, and off-site activities
* Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment
Ideal SEMH Teaching Assistant:
* Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs
* Understanding of behaviour management and emotional support strategies
* Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals
