Location: MK42 6EA Department: Stock Control Supervisor Shifts Available Monday to Friday Fixed shift times 08:00 16:30 Pay Rates £14 per hour 30-minute break : unpaid 15- minute: paid Job Type: Full-time Role Overview: Lead the Stock and Physical Inventory (PI) process for the site, liaising with customers and the operational team. Maintain stock integrity and take ownership of activities and resolutions. Support warehouse operations within Metro Supply Chain, ensuring objectives from the Business Plan are met. Key Responsibilities: Manage and monitor Stock and PI operations in line with customer SLAs. Lead the Stock and PI team, managing workload, performance, attendance, and behaviour. Maintain stock integrity and ensure resolution of issues. Ensure all inventory KPIs are met. Plan operational requirements against forecast and demand. Organize and execute customer stock takes, ensuring appropriate methods, equipment, and resources are in place. Liaise with customers on stock queries and escalate issues according to SLAs. Ensure staff follow ISO-accredited work instructions (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001) and report non-conformances. Highlight any environmental or operational risks and ensure compliance with legislation and local authorities. Experience: Inventory Admin experience, Warehouse management experience, good with excel and has a good understanding of working in operations. Experience in audits, cycle counts, and stock investigations in a warehouse environment. Previous leadership experience in a fast-paced logistics setting preferred. Strong understanding and operational knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems. Excellent communication skills. Skills: IT literate, especially in Warehouse Management Systems. Ability to motivate, develop, and lead a team. Work effectively under pressure, prioritizing competing demands. Structured and process-driven, yet adaptable to changing situations. Proactive and self-motivated. Strong communication skills for both internal and external stakeholders. Ability to align team priorities with business needs and review performance regularly. Customer Service & Culture: Collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment. Deliver exceptional customer service internally and externally. Support team-driven social initiatives and promote a positive work culture. Follow processes and achieve customer KPIs. Maintain open, honest, and approachable relationships. Health & Safety: Maintain a safe and clean work environment at all times. Follow Occupational Health and Safety legislation, including safety, violence, and harassment laws.
