This is more than just a classroom-based role - it’s an opportunity to support a young person’s academic, emotional and social development in a truly tailored and therapeutic learning environment.
About The School:
This specialist provision supports students who have struggled to thrive in mainstream settings due to Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, autism or other additional challenges. With small class sizes, a personalised curriculum and a strong focus on wellbeing, the school offers a unique and nurturing space where staff and students can build lasting, positive relationships.
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 support to students throughout the school day
* Adapt lessons and activities to meet individual learning profiles
* Encourage positive behaviour, independence and emotional regulation
* Work alongside teachers, therapists and the wider support team
* Support with both classroom-based and off-site learning experiences
You’ll Need:
* Experience supporting children or young people with SEND (e.g SEMH, autism, trauma)
* Patience, resilience and the ability to build meaningful relationships
* A proactive and flexible approach to working with individual needs
* Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle, with business insurance is essential (for off-site learning)
* A DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
What You’ll Get in Return:
* A meaningful role in a nurturing, therapeutic educational environment
* Ongoing CPD and training tailored to SEn and 1:1 support
* Consistent term-time hours with excellent work-life balance
* Potential for a permanent role within a growing trust
