The Opportunity
TSR Legal are pleased to be representing an established and well-regarded law firm who are looking to appoint a Senior Auction Conveyancing Solicitor to join its specialist property team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced conveyancer who enjoys fast-paced, technical work and wants to be involved in high-value, time-critical transactions across England and Wales.
Auction experience is preferred but not essential strong residential or commercial property experience combined with the ability to work to tight deadlines will be highly valued.
The Role
You will manage a varied caseload of auction sales and purchases, acting for both buyers and sellers of residential, commercial, and mixed-use properties. Matters are often subject to short turnaround times and require a high level of technical accuracy and commercial awareness.
Your work will include:
* Handling auction conveyancing transactions from instruction through to completion
* Reviewing and advising on auction legal packs prior to bidding
* Preparing auction packs for sale, including:
o Obtaining title documentation
o Ordering and reviewing searches
o Liaising with auctioneers to meet marketing and auction deadlines
* Advising purchasers on title issues, risks, and saleability
* Managing post-auction completions within strict contractual timeframes
* Acting on matters involving:
o Residential, commercial, and mixed-use property
o Specialist lending and bridging finance
* Liaising with auction houses, lenders, brokers, and clients throughout the process
* Ensuring transactions complete in line with fixed completion dates
Workload & Pace
* High-volume of time-sensitive transactions
* Short exchange-to-completion periods
* Technical title issues and non-standard property matters
* Close collaboration with auctioneers and lenders
About You
* Qualified Solicitor with 6+ years PQE in residential and/or commercial property
* Confident managing complex conveyancing matters independently
* Strong technical knowledge of property law
* Able to work calmly and efficiently under pressure and to tight deadlines
* Excellent communication and client-handling skills
* Auction conveyancing experience advantageous but not essential
