Transformation Director - Contract Contract day rate - possibility for the role to be outside IR35 if needed. As a key member of the strategic programme team, the Transformation Director will spearhead the design and execution of a new operating model for one of our core Business Teams functions, with a particular focus on driving transformation across Sales, Business Development, and Marketing. This high-impact role requires a transformation professional with a strategic mindset, operational rigour, and the leadership capability to drive sustainable change in a fast-paced, matrixed environment. You will partner with senior leaders, subject matter experts, and external advisors to reimagine and implement processes, structures, and capabilities that elevate the performance and impact of these commercial functions. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Partnership & Roadmap Execution Partner with the function Chief and leadership team to shape and deliver a transformation roadmap for Sales, Business Development, and Marketing. Ensure alignment across function-specific implementation plans and realise measurable business benefits. Change Leadership Develop and execute a robust change management strategy, including stakeholder engagement, communication, and capability-building initiatives tailored to the unique needs of commercial functions. Integration & Collaboration Coordinate with global and regional teams to ensure transformation efforts are consistent, locally responsive, and aligned with broader enterprise goals. Drive cohesion across programme and project delivery teams. Operational Risk Management Identify and mitigate risks that could impact delivery or disrupt essential business operations. Maintain focus on business continuity throughout transformation efforts. Performance Monitoring & Reporting Track progress against key transformation metrics and KPIs. Provide timely and data-driven reporting to senior leadership to inform decisions and ensure accountability. Transformation Thought Leadership Leverage industry trends and functional expertise to challenge the status quo and bring innovative thinking to the redesign of Sales, Business Development, and Marketing capabilities. Requirements & Experience: Minimum of 8 years’ experience leading business transformation programmes with a strong emphasis on commercial functions such as Sales, Business Development, or Marketing. Proven track record in developing and implementing target operating models, end-to-end process transformations, and organisational design in complex, global environments. Experience in legal services or professional services organisations is highly desirable. Deep understanding of business development and marketing disciplines, including client relationship management, branding, digital marketing, sales enablement, and CRM. Strong background in change management, including use of established methodologies (e.g. Prosci, ADKAR, Kotter). Familiarity with project and programme management methodologies (e.g. Agile, PRINCE2, PMP). Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels and across cultures. Highly collaborative, proactive, and outcomes-driven, with the ability to lead through ambiguity and deliver results.
