Overview

We are seeking an exceptional leader to drive large scale transformation across our Trust at a pivotal time in our journey. This role is central to delivering our ambition to be a trusted partner and system leader and to driving our wider strategic left shift priorities. You will lead organisation wide transformation and performance improvement across Care Groups and corporate functions, working across boundaries in a complex, unionised environment. The role bridges strategy, performance, finance and delivery ensuring ambition translates into measurable change. Responsibilities and duties

Main duties of the job: We are not looking for one narrow profile. You may come from a range of backgrounds including senior operational leadership, transformation or programme leadership, system roles, or a senior clinical leader looking to use your skills and experience in a different way. What matters most is that you can demonstrate experience of:

* Leading large scale change in complex organisations
* Influencing at Executive and Board level
* Driving transformation across organisational boundaries
* Operating successfully in a regulated and unionised setting

You will oversee major transformation programmes, provide assurance to the Board, and line manage key transformation and PMO leaders.

Qualifications

Essential

* Educated to Masters degree level or equivalent professional qualification
* Management and leadership qualification or equivalent experience
* Evidence of CPD and additional knowledge across a range of areas including financial management, operational management, business case development

Desirable

* Project/Programme Management Qualification


Experience

Essential

* Evidence of significant demonstrable experience of the management of clinical or professional services
* Significant and demonstrable experience of working at a senior level and reporting directly to Executive Directors
* Management of large and complex services and commissioning significant service change
* Experience strategic planning, tendering, business development, proactive performance management, operational management and strategic development

Desirable

* Experience of working across the health and social care economy


Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

* Sound knowledge of corporate governance and an understanding of risk management
* Knowledge of national NHS strategy and policy, particularly in relation to its impact on Mental Health, Social Care and Community services
* Proven analytical skills with ability to turn broad strategic aims into operational reality and support clinicians/professionals through process
* Ability to communicate to and influence Board decisions
