We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Worker to join our team based near Brigg. You will work Monday to Thursday 2pm to midnight with every Friday off. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling materials, managing stock, and supporting the efficient operation of our warehouse. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in warehouse management systems, mechanical tasks, and logistics processes. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with prior warehouse experience or those eager to learn and grow within a dynamic environment. We are looking to develop this role into a team leader role.
Responsibilities
* Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment, including forklifts where qualified
* Manage stock levels through accurate stocking, picking, and packing of products
* Operate warehouse management systems to track inventory movements
* Assist with shipping and receiving activities to ensure timely dispatch and receipt of goods
* Handle materials safely and efficiently, adhering to health and safety regulations
* Maintain organisation of the warehouse space, ensuring a clean and safe environment
* Support mechanical tasks related to warehouse equipment maintenance and minor repairs
* Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and productivity
Requirements
* Proven experience in warehouse operations or construction environments preferred
* Familiarity with forklift operation (certification advantageous)
* Knowledge of warehouse management systems such as AS400 or similar platforms
* Experience with materials handling, stocking, picking & packing, shipping & receiving processes
* Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
* Mechanical knowledge or basic understanding of warehouse equipment is desirable
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
* Good physical fitness and stamina for manual tasks throughout the shift
