Hours: Full-time, permanent 40 hours per week (flexible)
Pay: £14.50 per hour (estimated £30,160 per annum)

Allan Glens Sports Club is seeking an enthusiastic, organised and people-focused Bar Manager to take ownership of our clubhouse bar and help make it a welcoming, vibrant hub for members, supporters and the wider Bishopbriggs community.
This is an ideal role for an experienced Bar Manager looking for flexibility, responsibility and a strong sense of community with the autonomy to shape the bar offering, supported by a committed and welcoming club committee.

Allan Glens Sports Club is steeped in history and community spirit. Founded on the legacy of Allan Glens School (est. 1853), the club has been proudly based at the Bearyards in Bishopbriggs since 1923.
Today, the club is thriving, with:
Senior mens teams competing in the Scottish rugby leagues

The clubhouse plays a central role in club life bringing together players, families, volunteers and visitors on matchdays, training nights and for a wide range of social and community events.
Your role
As Bar Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the clubhouse bar, ensuring high standards of service, compliance and profitability. You will lead the bar team and play a key role in matchdays, functions and club events.
Key responsibilities include:
Recruiting, training and managing bar staff, including rota planning
Managing stock control, ordering, deliveries and cost control
Handling daily cash procedures, banking and budget management
Organising and overseeing booking and bar service for functions and events
Ensuring compliance with licensing, health & safety and club policies
Maintaining a welcoming, safe and enjoyable environment
This is a hands-on role with real responsibility and variety.
What to expect
40 hours per week, worked flexibly to meet the needs of the bar, matches and events you can create your own schedule
£14.50 per hour (£30,160 per annum) based on a 40-hour week

Ideal candidate
We are looking for a confident, hands-on Bar Manager who can lead a team, run a tight operation and deliver great service in a busy club environment.
Youll bring:
Experience in bar management or supervision
Strong people skills able to recruit, train, rota and motivate staff
Solid knowledge of stock control, ordering, cash handling and budgets
Good understanding of licensing, health & safety and compliance
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and matchdays
The ability to stay calm, organised and professional under pressure
Most importantly, you will enjoy being part of a community-focused club and helping make the clubhouse bar a welcoming social space.
