Inpatient Bookings Administrator
Location: Plymouth Hospital | Contract: Permanent | Working hours: 37.5 hours per week | Salary: £25,038 per annum.

Responsibilities
* Deal with all administration tasks for inpatient bookings including booking theatre slots, pre-assessment appointments, liaising with consultants, patients and various departments around the hospital and processing patient details.
* Handle telephone enquiries efficiently and effectively, providing excellent customer service.
* Ensure all data/information is entered, modified, maintained and presented accurately and efficiently.
* Ensure that work is carried out to required standard and within agreed working practices and procedures, prioritising the workload as necessary.
* Have good communication and inter‑personal skills.
* Be a good team player.
* Have the ability to work independently.
Qualifications
* Have good IT and keyboard skills, requiring experience with Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
* Have experience within an administrative or customer facing environment (advantage).
* Have the ability and confidence to engage with a variety of people including consultants, secretaries and patients.
* Demonstrate excellent customer service skills, with a positive can‑do attitude.
* Stay calm under pressure with the ability to multi‑skill.
* Excellent organisational skills are paramount.
