Robert Half is delighted to be partnering with a well-established, growing organisation in Tewksbury to recruit for a Financial Accountant on a full-time and permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional seeking a hands-on, varied role within a stable and supportive business environment. You'll play a key role in supporting financial control, reporting, compliance, and team supervision.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will take ownership of a broad range of financial activities, ensuring accurate reporting and strong financial governance across the business.
You will also provide day-to-day oversight of a small team, supporting their development while maintaining high standards across finance operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Fixed asset accounting, maintenance, and reporting
2. Preparation of month-end journals
3. Balance sheet control account reconciliations
4. Statutory reporting including PSA and P11D
5. Supporting year-end accounts and audit processes
6. Producing financial analysis and management reports
7. Monitoring financial controls and processes
8. Supervising Assistant Accountants and Purchase Ledger
9. Supporting ad hoc finance projects and tasks
About You
We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented finance professional who can manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across teams.
You will ideally have:
10. ACCA qualification (or equivalent experience)
11. 3+ years' post-qualification experience
12. Strong background in management accounts, treasury, or ledgers
13. Advanced Excel and strong IT skills
14. Experience with Sage 200 (desirable)
15. A hands-on, analytical approach with strong attention to detail
Working Pattern
16. Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
17. Fully office-based role
