This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and proactive receptionist/administrator to join our team based at Walton Medical Centre. This position is offered on a part-time basis for 16 hours per week, but there is some flexibility, and any hours from 16 to 37.5 will be considered for the right applicant. Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
* Booking appointments.
* Greeting patients.
* Answering queries from patients and outside agencies and/or signposting to appropriate staff.
* Updating patient records.
* Processing correspondence.
* Liaising with patients using various communication methods.
You will need to have flexibility to cover other shifts.
* A good standard of education including Maths and English.
* Experience in customer service, ideally reception experience.
* Experience working within primary care is beneficial but not essential.
* Strong IT skills and the ability to use computer-based systems.
* Experience with SystmOne is desirable; full training will be provided.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with good social skills.
* A friendly and positive approach towards patients and visitors, either in person or over the phone.
