As a Workshop Controller, you'll be tasked with leading workshop efficiency, productivity and quality by empowering teamwork and ensuring every customer receives exceptional service, all while meeting key commercial and operational goals. Responsibilities: Maximise workshop efficiency by fully utilising Technicians and driving sold hours to target. Ensure all customer service work is completed accurately and within agreed timescales. Coordinate with Service Advisors and Parts to maintain optimal workshop loading. Monitor repeat visits, identify trends and implement corrective actions. Oversee vehicle quality checks, including road tests to Porsche standards. Keep Technicians updated on service bulletins, policies, and operational information. Maintain workshop equipment, facilities standards and compliance with recall and audit requirements. Support Service Assistants and assist the Aftersales Manager with customer complaint resolution. Track and communicate daily Technician efficiency/productivity, holding regular reviews and setting targets. Lead team development, supervise apprentices, and ensure ongoing technical and procedural knowledge. Requirements Minimum Qualifications: Proven experience in workshop, service, or automotive aftersales management. Strong understanding of workshop processes, quality standards, and manufacturer guidelines. Ability to lead, motivate and develop a technical team to achieve performance targets. Excellent communication and coordination skills across Service, Parts and Aftersales functions. Strong organisational and problem‑solving abilities with a focus on efficiency and customer satisfaction. Desirable Qualifications: Experience working within a prestige or performance automotive brand environment. Formal technical qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) or strong technical background. Knowledge of manufacturer systems, diagnostic tools and digital workshop platforms.
