A new and exciting position has become available to work in the Department of Medicine for Older Peoples Therapy Service (DMOPS) at Aintree Hospital and in the Aintree Hospital to Home Service as part of an internal static rotation. This Band 6 post provides the opportunity to work on older people’s inpatient wards, in a Falls outpatient setting, and to expand your skills into the community by working in the Hospital to Home Service. The internal static position alternates every nine months, in line with band 6 OT rotations, between DMOPS inpatients (including falls clinic) and Hospital to Home community work.
Responsibilities
* Provide OT assessment and treatment plans for patients on the DMOPS wards.
* Manage a complex caseload on acute DMOPS wards.
* Support the Falls Outpatient service by providing OT assessments and interventions in patients’ own environments.
* Complete Discharge to Assess visits, complex follow‑up visits and environmental visits in patients’ own environments to support discharge from the acute hospital.
