Overview
HSE Manager opportunity with a world leader in the design and manufacture of precision-engineered products. This role leads Health, Safety and Environmental performance across a complex manufacturing operation and ensures compliance with UK legislation and ISO standards.
Responsibilities
* Site-wide HSE leadership across a complex manufacturing operation (foundry, machining, fabrication, assembly and office environments), driving continuous improvement and a strong safety culture.
* Full UK compliance & governance: adherence to UK legislation and ISO standards (ISO 45001 & ISO 14001); audit readiness and management of statutory inspections including PUWER, LOLER, PSSR and power press regulations.
* Risk management & operational control: own risk assessments, safe systems of work, and Management of Change (MOC); ensure hazards are identified, controlled, and continuously improved across all operations.
* Hands-on leadership & cross-functional working: collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Facilities and Training teams to embed HSE best practice, deliver training, manage contractors, and lead incident investigations with root-cause focus.
* Environmental, emergency & wellbeing focus: drive environmental compliance and sustainability improvements, support emergency preparedness and occupational health programmes, promote a visible, proactive safety-first leadership approach.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in an HSE Manager role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
* Strong knowledge of UK HSE legislation (including PUWER and risk management).
* Experience with audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
* NEBOSH Diploma (ideal), other levels will be considered.
* A professional approach which generates credibility and confidence in others.

Benefits & Requirements
* Salary: £50,000 - £55,000
* Hours: 39 hours per week; Monday - Thursday 7:30am to 4:15pm, Friday finish at 12:30pm
* Holidays: 32 days including bank holidays
