Responsibilities
* Actively participate in making and assembling the mould tooling at Camcraft.
* Use a Bridgeport or Lathe to make parts based on technical drawings.
* Fit parts for machining, inspection, or final assembly.
* Follow engineering drawings to produce components with high precision and accuracy.
* Use measuring equipment such as Micrometers, Vernier Calipers, and Slip Gauges.
* Utilize hand tools like Mallets, Allen Keys, Spanners, Files, etc.
* Work with both Metric and Imperial measurements.
* Collaborate with CAD designers to understand customer requirements and manufacturing strategies.
* Maintain cleanliness and meet housekeeping standards, complying with all administrative and procedural requirements.
Typical Skills Required
Essential Skills:
* Experience with Bridgeport/Turret Mill, Manual Lathe, Surface Grinder, Die Assembly and Disassembly.
* Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
* Proficiency with measuring equipment such as Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, and Slip Gauges.
* Efficiency in engineering practices.
* Effective communication skills.
Preferred Additional Skills:
* EDM Die Sinking experience.
* CNC Milling.
* Polishing and benching.
* Basic CAD and computer skills.
* Experience with both Metric and Imperial systems.
Advantage Skills:
* ISO9001 experience and working to ISO quality standards.
Specific machine knowledge on AgieCharmilles/GF EDM, Haas, and Hurco CNC, multi-axis machining.
Qualifications
* Right to work in the UK.
* GCSEs.
