Health, Safety and Environmental Officer

We are seeking a Health, Safety and Environmental Officer, to join our team.
This is a great role, offering superb work / life balance, with a 3 day working week.
We are a busy manufacturing, well established facility, and you will be tasked with developing and implementing the Health and Safety policies on site. You will play a key role in ensuring full compliance with all HSE legislation.
Commutable from: Sutton Coldfield, Walsall, Aldridge, Birmingham, Brierly Hill, Brownhills, Willenhall, Wolverhampton, Lichfield, Great Wyrley, Cannock, Bloxwich and Codsall
Duties
* Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental legislation and site permit requirements
* Lead and improve H&S systems, procedures, audits, and ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 standards
* Own and develop risk assessments, SOPs, COPS and safety standards with site teams
* Drive a strong safety culture through coaching, training, inductions and engagement
* Lead incident investigations and ensure effective corrective actions and follow-up
* Manage hazard reporting systems, KPIs, and site safety performance reporting
* Support and lead SMAT walkabouts, 6S improvements, and compliance activities
* Act as key contact for HSE, Environmental Agency, and Local Authority requirements
* Oversee environmental compliance, waste streams, permits, and reporting obligations
* Coordinate contractor safety compliance, RAMS, PUWER, LOLER, COSHH, DSEAR & REACH
* Deliver inductions, training, PPE management, and occupational health coordination
Requirements
* Strong background in Health & Safety / Environmental compliance in an industrial setting
* Experience with ISO standards, audits, and regulatory frameworks
* Confident communicator who can influence at all levels
* Proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and safety culture
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and follow-through
