About the Company
An established Independent Connections Provider operating within the UK power and utilities sector. The organisation delivers contestable electricity connections and private network projects for industrial, commercial and renewable energy clients, specialising in 11-33kV grid connections with growing exposure to higher-voltage interfaces. With a strong emphasis on safety, compliance and delivery quality, the business supports the UK’s transition to a more sustainable energy network.
The Role
The Senior Project Manager (HV) will take full responsibility for the delivery of high-voltage connection projects across the UK, from preconstruction through to commissioning and handover. The role involves managing programme, cost, risk and quality, whilst acting as the primary point of contact for clients, DNOs/IDNOs and the supply chain. Working closely with commercial and delivery teams, the successful candidate will ensure projects are delivered safely, profitably and in line with contractual requirements. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong stakeholder management and robust governance across complex HV schemes.
Experience Required
Proven experience delivering high-voltage utility or contestable works projects within an ICP, DNO or IDNO environment.
Strong project management capability across programme control, cost management, risk, change control and client reporting.
Demonstrable experience managing subcontractors and supply chains across civils, cabling, plant, switchgear and commissioning works.
Solid understanding of health, safety, quality and CDM requirements, with experience implementing robust governance and site controls.
Working knowledge of NEC and/or JCT contracts, with experience delivering projects across 11–33kV (higher voltages and ENA/contestable works frameworks beneficial)
