DT / Art Teacher
Location: Secondary School, Lancaster
Contract: Part-time (4 days per week)
Start Date: As soon as possible
We are seeking a creative, motivated, and enthusiastic Teacher of Design Technology and Art to join a supportive and forward‑thinking secondary school in Lancaster. This is a part-time position (4 days per week), available immediately, and would suit either an experienced teacher or an ECT with strong subject knowledge and a passion for creativity.
The Role
The successful candidate will:
* Teach Design Technology and Art across KS3 and potentially KS4
* Plan and deliver engaging, practical, and inclusive lessons
* Inspire pupils to develop creativity, technical skills, and confidence
* Assess and support pupil progress in line with school policies
* Contribute positively to the wider life of the school and department
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Experience teaching DT and/or Art at secondary level
* Strong classroom management and high expectations for behaviour and achievement
* A creative and flexible approach to teaching and learning
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
