Job Description
RG consultancy are currently recruiting an experienced management accountant for a well-established Engineering company based in Wallasey. The role would report directly to the finance manager and would be perfect for a part/qualified CIMA candidate looking to further their career within a growing SME business.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit & loss, balance sheet, and variance analysis.
* Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
* Prepare and post accruals, prepayments, and journals.
* Provide detailed financial analysis and commentary to support strategic decision-making.
* Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
* Monitor financial performance and identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
* Support internal and external audits by providing relevant documentation and explanations.
* Partner with operational teams to improve cost control and efficiency.
* Drive continuous improvement of financial processes and reporting.
Skills & Experience
* Part-qualified or qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA).
* Proven experience in a management accounting or similar role.
* Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
* Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting systems
* Ability to communicate financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
* Proactive, organised, and able to work to tight deadlines.
