ESA Technician
Location: Hampshire
This can be either a permenant role with a flexible salary or a contract with a rate of up to £30ph Outside IR35.
A leading electronics manufacturer within the aerospace and space sectors is looking for a skilled ESA Technician to join their high-reliability production team. This is a hands-on role working on cutting-edge programmes that demand absolute precision and compliance with European Space Agency standards.
What you'll be doing
You'll be part of a team responsible for the manufacture and assembly of PCB and cabling work to ECSS specifications. Typical duties will include:
* Manufacturing PCB assemblies to ECSS standards
* Preparing and checking component kits
* Wiring modifications and adhesive preparation
* Mechanical assembly and sub-assembly work
* Cable and harness assembly
What you'll bring
You'll be someone who takes pride in the quality of your work and thrives in a cleanroom environment where precision matters. To succeed, you'll need:
* A solid understanding of cleanroom disciplines and ESD control
* The ability to read and interpret CAD drawings and wiring diagrams
* Valid ECSS 70-08/70-38 certification (essential)
* ECSS 70-26/70-28 certification (desirable)
* Excellent component recognition and fine assembly skills
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure
* A self-motivated approach and strong organisational skills
