The School of Technical, Construction and Motor Vehicle at Carshalton College is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Bricklaying Lecturer to deliver high-quality teaching, learning, assessment, and tutorial support to students to maximize achievement and continuous improvement.
You will play a key role in supporting curriculum development through employer engagement and learner skills development. Responsibilities include developing, initiating, promoting, and sustaining innovative and quality improvement strategies, as well as creating, coordinating, and supervising practical work, events, and assessment projects. You will also advise students on techniques.
Applicants should hold a teaching qualification (or be willing to work towards one), with recent teaching experience in Bricklaying within an FE College and experience working in Construction/Bricklaying.
Strong knowledge of current frameworks for teaching, learning, assessment, and quality assurance is essential. Demonstrable experience of effective employer engagement in curriculum design and delivery is required. Candidates should possess advanced computer literacy and general office software skills. Excellent communication skills in both group and one-on-one settings, along with effective presentation, delivery, and time management skills for diverse audiences, are necessary.
The salary may increase in line with the annual cost of living review in the upcoming academic year.
