Our legal client in Edinburgh is looking to hire a Personal Assistant for their busy Tax & Succession team.
This role involves managing diaries, coordinating meetings, managing confidential communications, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
Hybrid working available once you’ve completed onboarding and training.
What you’ll do
* Manage diaries, schedule meetings, and ensure all relevant materials are prepared and distributed in advance
* Arrange internal and external meetings, book rooms, organise refreshments, and check equipment
* Monitor email inboxes, respond or delegate as appropriate, and handle telephone calls/messages professionally
* Coordinate travel arrangements and itineraries
* Assist with financial administration, including billing, bank transfer requests, and liaising with the Finance team
* Complete Client Matter Inception (CMI) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) processes.
* Support Business Development and Marketing activities for the team
* Manage outgoing and incoming mail, ensuring all documents are processed promptly and securely
* Provide support to fellow PAs within Tax & Succession when required
What You’ll Need
* Previous PA experience, Legal PA experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
* Strong organisational skills, able to manage complex diaries, meetings, and priorities with ease
* Confident communicator, comfortable liaising with clients, colleagues, and external contacts both in person and by phone
* Proficient in Microsoft Office packages and digital dictation, with a willingness and ability to learn new business platforms quickly
* Excellent attention to detail and interpersonal skills, with a track record of working independently and prioritising workload effectively
* High level of discretion and confidentiality, trusted with sensitive information
