Navantia UK is recruiting multiple Platers to join its growing team in Methil. Following the recent acquisition of Harland & Wolff’s facilities, Navantia UK is strengthening Britain’s defence, maritime, and clean energy industrial capabilities. The Role
As a Plater, you will play a key role in the fabrication of structural steelwork, contributing to high-quality outputs in a safe, controlled, and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Fabricate and weld structural steelwork in line with drawings and specifications
* Read and interpret engineering drawings (advantageous)
* Ensure tolerances and parameters are met to satisfy quality requirements
* Meet or exceed production targets and timings
* Adhere to all company procedures, rules, and Health & Safety standards
* Work effectively as part of a team to deliver work on time and to customer expectations
* Maintain a strong focus on quality, safety, and continuous improvement
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
* Previous welding experience is an advantage
* Ability to work effectively using your own initiative
* Good communication skills at all levels
* Strong awareness and understanding of Health & Safety legislation
* A positive, reliable, and team-oriented approach
