Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Senior Business Development Executive to join our National Business Development team. Based primarily in our Manchester office, the successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Business Development Manager to identify new business opportunities, support the delivery of strategic BD initiatives and campaigns, and contribute to driving revenue growth across the Northwest region. This role calls for a strategic thinker with a strong track record in identifying and securing new business opportunities. We're looking for someone who is ambitious, eager to develop in the role, and committed to continuous learning and development. Key responsibilities Contribute to the delivery of the firm’s 5 year strategic growth plan Support the Business Development Manager in implementing initiatives that drive growth and revenue across the region Identify, develop, and pursue new business and cross selling opportunities across new and existing clients Monitor market trends and competitor activity to support lead generation Represent the firm at business/networking functions and provide feedback and information on market trends Build and maintain strong relationships with intermediaries and external networks to generate new business leads Collaborate with Partners and Directors to develop tailored solutions that meet client needs and unlock new opportunities Support and manage BD pipelines, including CRM updates and reporting Assist in planning, delivering, and following up on BD campaigns, seminars, webinars, and networking events Liaise with the PR, digital, and marketing teams to ensure alignment and impact of BD initiatives Skills and experience Proven experience in business development within a professional services or commercial environment Strong understanding of the UK corporate, mid–market and SME business environments Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills Strategic thinker with a proactive and entrepreneurial approach to identifying new routes to market Comfortable working with senior stakeholders and contributing to cross-functional initiatives Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively Proficient in CRM systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics), MS Office, and digital tools Ability to brief marketing and PR teams, with a keen eye for detail and strong written communication skills Smart.
