We are currently looking for a Slicing Operative to join our Slicing Department in Redruth and help us deliver top-quality bacon products to our customers.
Key Information:
* Earn Big: Competitive hourly rate, with the potential to earn over £590 per week
* Contract Type: Full-Time Permanent
* Balanced Schedule: We have a shift pattern of 5:15 am - 14:30 pm, Monday to Friday, giving you more time for yourself.
Key Responsibilities:
* Visually examine and pack bacon products to meet customer and company standards.
* Operate machinery and equipment efficiently and safely.
* Plan work activities and meet production targets related to cost, productivity, waste, quality, and safety.
* Monitor and control quality by checking weights, visual standards, and specifications.
* Record production data and communicate findings clearly.
* Maintain high hygiene and safety standards in work areas.
* Communicate improvement opportunities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
* Carry out cleaning and maintenance of equipment/work areas as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
* Good communication and teamworking skills.
* Ability to work independently and solve problems.
* Practical/manual handling skills.
* Awareness of Health & Safety (H&S) and Food Safety.
* Willingness to be trained and learn new skills.
* Attention to detail and quality awareness.
Qualifications Required:
* Food Safety Awareness
* H&S Awareness
* Knowledge of SOPs and general procedures
* HACCP (Level 2)
* NVQ Level 2 or equivalent
