SEN Teaching Assistant – Full-Time Location: Longsight Start Date: September Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm Teaching Personnel is pleased to be working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Longsight, who are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. This full-time role involves supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, through a combination of one-to-one and small group support. The Role As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will: Provide tailored support for pupils with SEN on a one-to-one and small group basis Work closely with class teachers to deliver differentiated and engaging learning activities Support targeted interventions to help pupils achieve their individual learning goals Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment Assist with the implementation and monitoring of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to meet pupils’ needs The Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who: Holds GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths Has previous experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs Demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills Is patient, adaptable, and proactive in supporting learning Is committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing Holds Level 2 Safeguarding or is willing to complete training through Teaching Personnel Why Work with Teaching Personnel?
