Responsibilities
* Respond to requests for pest control treatments in domestic and commercial properties.
* Service commercial pest management contracts to keep businesses free from pest‑induced damage.
* Respond to and seize stray or unsupervised dogs from public areas, including aggressive or dangerous animals.
* Ensure the wellbeing of dogs in kennels, including exercising, cleaning, feeding, and general kennel duties.
* Collect fines and costs associated with kennelling.
* Enforce the Public Space Protection Orders (Dog Control), carrying out surveillance and issuing fixed‑penalty notices to offenders.
* Maintain up‑to‑date records of actions taken.

* Reliable and committed, with a professional attitude and willingness to undertake all tasks within the role’s remit.
* Customer‑focused, maintaining respect, calmness, and politeness in challenging situations while assisting the public and responding to minor queries and complaints.
* Confident in taking appropriate action to avoid formal complaints.
Additional Requirements
* Full UK driving licence.
* RSPH Certificate or equivalent for pest control.
* Knowledge and experience dealing with a variety of pests.
* Experience treating pests in commercial businesses.
* Experience working with the public.
* Good team‑working skills.
* Ability to work with potentially unpredictable, awkward or aggressive dogs.
* Ability to drive a council vehicle.
