Role Title: Instructor Demonstrator Plumbing
Location: Bersham Road
Contract Type: Full time/Permanent
Salary: £26,980 - £31,245 (this is the full time salary, salary will be pro rata depending on working pattern)
The Institute of Technology department at Bersham Road, Wrexham, is seeking an experienced Instructor Demonstrator in Plumbing to support the delivery of high-quality practical learning. Working within a modern workshop environment equipped with industry-standard tools, equipment and materials, you will help learners develop the practical skills, confidence and professional behaviours needed to progress into employment, apprenticeships or further study.
The role will involve supporting and delivering practical plumbing workshop sessions, demonstrating safe and effective working methods, preparing tools, materials and equipment, and working closely with the course team to support learner progress. You will contribute to the development of learners’ technical skills in areas such as pipework, jointing, domestic plumbing systems, installation methods, safe working practices and general workshop procedures.
You will also support the maintenance of a safe, clean and well-organised workshop environment, assist with learner supervision, contribute to record keeping where required, and help ensure that learners are supported to achieve high standards in their practical work.

Essential Requirements
1. Qualified to a minimum of Level 3 or equivalent in Plumbing or a professionally relevant subject area.
2. Relevant commercial or domestic plumbing experience.
3. Able to confidently demonstrate practical plumbing skills and safe working practices to learners.
4. Able to support the planning and delivery of effective practical workshop sessions that enhance learning.
5. Demonstrate an understanding of current developments within plumbing and building services and ways of keeping up to date with such developments.
6. Awareness of the importance of quality standards within teaching, learning and assessment.
7. Demonstrate a good level of IT competence, as well as being willing and able to learn how to use new IT packages and systems.
8. Able to deal promptly and effectively with inappropriate behaviour in the classroom or workshop environment.
9. Able to work effectively as part of a team and support learners with a range of practical abilities.
10. Able to maintain a safe, clean and well-organised practical working environment.
