Job overview
An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to join our dynamic and supportive MSK Therapy Services Teams based at the Northern General Hospital and the Royal Hallamshot Hospital. The teams provide a reception and administrative service to the patients attending Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy as well as to the MSK Therapy staff.
This post would be based at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, but also may be required at the Northern General Hospital, so flexibility would be essential.
Applicants will have experience of working with the public and in a team environment. You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to organise your time and workload efficiently and work on your own initiative.
Basic keyboard skills and a working knowledge of computers is an essential requirement. Appropriate training would be given to the post holders along with regular support sessions.

To contribute to the delivery of an efficient and effective administrative service within the Department. The NHS administrative workforce are focused on the ultimate outcome of quality hospital and patient care and have high standards when it comes to liaising with any person the service comes into contact with. Person specification
Education and Qualifications (General education/further and professional)
* GCSE at Grade C/4 in English and Maths (or equivalent qualifications) or equivalent experience
* NVQ Level II in Business Administration / Customer Service / IT
Experience (Previous/current work or any other relevant experience)
* Experience of working within an office environment.
* Experience of working in a public facing role.
* Relevant experience within the NHS.
Further Training (Specialist/Management previous job training)
* Knowledge of / experience of using information and/or customer service systems.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages including Outlook, Excel and Word.
* Previous experience Infoflex / 59R Software.
* Previous experience of PAS / Infoflex / SystmOne / Connect (area specific software)
Skills and Knowledge
* Understanding of data protection issues and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
* Excellent communication skills, with ability to deal with staff at all levels.
* Displays use of initiative with effective organisational skill.
* Ability to prioritise and work to strict/conflicting deadlines.
