A well-established, ambitious longevity reinsurance team is looking for a nearly or newly qualified actuary to join as a Senior Actuarial Analyst.
What makes this different from most longevity roles I work on? The sheer breadth.
This isn't a pricing-only or in-force-only seat. You'd be sitting at the heart of the business - involved in new deal execution, in-force management, client relationship development, contract design, and process improvement. UK and international markets, including exposure to emerging territories where there's real advisory input required, not just execution.
The team is flat, experienced, and genuinely collaborative. This hire sits in an "engine room" position - not junior, not fully qualified - someone who can bridge technical delivery and commercial thinking, and grow into taking real ownership over time.
You'll likely be a strong fit if you:
๏ธ Have ~4+ years of experience in DB pensions, BPA, life, or reinsurance
๏ธ Are getting a bit boxed in and want broader exposure
๏ธ Can simplify complex analysis and communicate it clearly to clients and stakeholders
๏ธ Are comfortable with ambiguity and motivated to improve how things are done
R or Python is helpful but not the priority. The priority is someone who can see the bigger picture and isn't looking for a narrow, well-defined lane.
Long-term client relationships (30yr+ deals), global scope, and a genuine opportunity to shape how business is written. That's a rare combination.
