You’ll be based in a modern hi-rise office environment, overlooking the city with your own dedicated IT area. The Role
* Based on site at our Birmingham office 5 days a week offering a dedicated on-site service
* Occasional travel to our other offices in the UK as and when required.
* Working as part of the wider IT team within Hitachi Energy to provide a consistently high standard of customer service to support the business.
* 37 hours a week with the flexibility and willingness to work an early start or a later finish to satisfy the needs of the business.
* A trouble shooting role covering PC hardware and software and LAN and voice network.
* Acquiring, installing, and upgrading PC components and software and responding to service outages and other issues as they arise.
* Managing stock and inventory control and ensuing IT kit is well stocked and maintained.
* Managing updates and configuration management Data base (CMBD)
Your background
* Experienced qualified IT Support Engineer with preferably at least 2 years’ experience in an on-site IT Support Engineer role.
* Familiar with OSS procedures, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with a knowledge of articles.
* Experience with supporting both IT engineering and maintenance relating to Non-standard IT hardware, non -standard IT systems and It related equipment.
* Able to recommend modifications to equipment or improvements to support operational efficiencies to ensure a high-quality service delivery.
