Do you have a proven track record in retail management and a passion for making a real difference?
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Retail Area Manager to lead and grow our network of charity shops, ensuring they deliver both income and impact for the dogs in our care.
This is more than a retail role – it's an opportunity to combine commercial expertise with compassion, helping us raise vital funds so we can continue rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming dogs in need.
We're flexible about exactly when these hours are worked but there will be a need to sometimes work weekends.
What you'll be doing:
* Driving income generation across our retail portfolio, meeting and exceeding sales and profit targets.
* Leading and supporting shop managers, staff and volunteers to deliver excellent customer service and a positive working environment.
* Embedding a culture of care, compassion and fairness across all retail operations.
* Managing budgets, compliance, and operational standards to ensure our shops run efficiently and effectively.
* Building community connections and promoting Hope Rescue's mission to supporters, partners and customers.
What we're looking for:
* Experience as an Area Retail Manager (charity retail experience desirable but not essential).
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor, motivate and develop teams.
* Commercial awareness with the ability to interpret sales data and make informed decisions.
* Excellent organisational skills with experience in managing budgets.
* A flexible approach to working hours, with a full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
* Above all, a commitment to Hope Rescue's values: care, compassion, fairness, advocacy and integrity.
What we offer:
* The chance to make a genuine difference for rescue dogs every day.
* A supportive, inclusive workplace culture where staff and volunteers are valued.
* Opportunities for professional development and growth within a forward-thinking charity.
* Simply Health Plan and Employee's Advice Helpline
