Job Description
JR PAT Testing is growing rapidly across the UK and is looking for experienced PAT Engineers to join our team in Lisburn. We provide self‑employed positions with flexible hours, allowing individuals to work part‑time or full‑time. All engineers must hold their own insurance and keep their equipment calibrated at least once a year, and they will be supplied with labels, technical support and branded clothing.

* Location: Lisburn, commutable areas (national coverage)
* Commuting distance: Reasonable distance to Lisburn or can travel nationally
* Salary: Discussed at job booking (pro‑rated on number of tests)
Typical Day
As a PAT engineer, each day varies by location, from hospitals to retail outlets. You will pack testers, record books and other tools, then travel to the first site.
On site, you will test appliances such as microwaves, kettles and computers, determining whether they remain safe or require repair. After testing, you will confirm findings to users, explain any issues and provide reports.
Completed tests are recorded in a dedicated PAT test report book or electronic system. You may also fill out completion certificates and checklists. Constantly moving from one site to another, organization and accuracy are essential for success.
