Oakwood Grange in Barnsley is home to well trained and helpful staff with rooms for up to 60 residents. Anchor is not-for-profit and provides 24-hour care and specialised services for elderly people.
We’re looking for a Deputy Care Home Manager to support the Home Manager in leading our friendly and dedicated team at Oakwood Grange in Barnsley.
About the Role
As Deputy Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the home delivers outstanding care to our residents. You’ll lead by example, support staff development, and contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of the home. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced senior carer, team leader, or deputy looking to make a meaningful impact in a supportive environment.
What You’ll Do
* Support the Home Manager in the overall management of the care home
* Ensure high standards of person-centred care
* Supervise and mentor care staff, supporting professional development
* Oversee care planning, audits, and compliance with CQC standards
* Build strong relationships with residents, families, and external agencies
What We’re Looking For
* Previous leadership experience in a residential or nursing care setting
* NVQ Level 3 or higher in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
* A caring, proactive approach and strong organisational skills
* Sound knowledge of CQC regulations and safeguarding procedures
* A team player with a genuine commitment to high-quality care
