IT Technician
Based – Easington, East Yorkshire
(5 days/week onsite)
Length – Until 31/12/26
Rate - £200/day inside IR35
*must have a drivers licence
Overview
We are seeking a proactive and skilled IT Technician to support and maintain IT systems, ensuring reliable performance across the organisation. The successful candidate will diagnose issues, support users, and contribute to continuous improvement within the IT function.
Qualifications
Essential
Minimum of 5 GCSEs (Grades 9–4 / A*–C), including Mathematics
OR BTEC Level 2 Certificate in IT or a relevant Level 1/2 vocational qualification
Desirable
GCSEs in Computer Science, ICT, or Design & Technology
Higher-level education (e.g., A Levels, BTEC Level 3, or equivalent)
Industry certifications such as:
CompTIA A+
CompTIA ITF+
Experience
Essential
IT-related experience in a working environment
Experience with Windows and/or Linux operating systems
Experience managing domains and Group Policy
Experience with Microsoft 365 (Teams, Outlook, Office applications)
Desirable
Experience with Cisco switching and routing
Familiarity with cyber security standards and practices
Experience in ICT cyber operations and security
Experience with CCTV systems
Exposure to Operational Technology (OT) environments
Knowledge
Essential
Maintenance planning processes and systems (e.g., CMS)
Strong knowledge of Windows hardware and software
Knowledge of printers and peripherals, including troubleshooting and specifications
Desirable
Permit-to-work systems
PowerShell scripting
Understanding of the Purdue Model
Knowledge of PABX phone systems
Experience with Windows Deployment Services (WDS)
