We have vacancies for permanent, full and part time opportunities for Staff Nurses within our Bed-based services at Springview, Wirral on Brackendale, Brooklands and Riverwood wards.

Bed based services comprise of wards that cater for acute admissions, Psychiatric Intensive Care, Eating Disorder Inpatient Services and Rehabilitation Inpatient Services. You would be required to work on a rotational shift basis, which includes days and nights.


Main duties of the job


You will be part of a supportive multi-disciplinary team and have an ethos of collaborative working between individual service users, carers and other stakeholders.

We are looking for motivated nurses to join our team. You should possess commitment to team working and innovative delivery of excellent standards of care. You will be able to demonstrate a real enthusiasm for mental health nursing, as well as a desire for on-going professional development.

You will receive excellent training and opportunities for development, clinical supervision and appraisal. We also offer our staff training packages, development and leadership pathways and a comprehensive preceptorship program for those who are newly qualified.

Cheshire and Wirral Partnership (CWP) provides health and care services for a population of over one million people, including mental health, learning disability, community physical health and all-age disability care, as well as the provision of three GP surgeries in Cheshire.

Qualifications



Essential criteria

* RMN
* First level nurse


Knowledge and Expertise



Essential criteria

* Excellent communicator verbally and in terms of written work.
* Well developed research based knowledge and practical nursing skills.
* An understanding of basic management principles is essential as the post will involve taking charge of the service occasionally.
* Ability to work unsupervised.
* A positive approach towards use of information technology.


Experience



Essential criteria

* 1st level mental health trained nurse, with a up to date knowledge of current mental health legislation
* Experience of working with adults with a Learning Disability


Desirable criteria

* Experience of carrying out clinical supervision

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
