Join a forward-thinking organisation at the forefront of digital innovation in the medical and legal sectors. ExamWorks UK / Premex UK is embarking on a strategic upgrade to Sage X3 across its group of companies, and we’re seeking a talented Systems Accountant to lead the charge.
About the Role
As Systems Accountant, you’ll be instrumental in delivering the successful implementation of Sage X3 across our UK entities. Acting as the key liaison between Finance, IT, Transformation, Operations, and external consultants, you’ll ensure the system is tailored to meet operational and reporting needs while driving process improvements and user adoption.
This is a high-impact role offering exposure to group-level operations, strategic projects, and continuous improvement initiatives. You’ll also support future acquisitions and play a central role in embedding best practices across the finance function.
Key Responsibilities
ERP Implementation & Project Leadership
* Lead the finance workstream of the Sage X3 upgrade across the group
* Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to define and deliver system requirements
* Oversee data migration, validation, and reconciliation
* Design and test financial modules, workflows, and reporting structures
* Deliver training and support to finance users across the group
Systems & Process Optimisation
* Streamline finance processes using Sage X3 functionality
* Configure chart of accounts, cost centres, and intercompany transactions
* Implement automation and controls to enhance accuracy and efficiency
* Document system processes and user guides
Financial Reporting & Compliance
* Ensure Sage X3 enables accurate and timely group-level reporting
* Partner with the BI team to develop and maintain financial reports
* Support month-end and year-end close from a systems perspective
* Liaise with auditors to ensure compliance and data integrity
Governance & Continuous Improvement
* Maintain system compliance with VAT, IFRS, GDPR, and internal policies
* Monitor access controls and conduct periodic audits
* Stay abreast of Sage X3 updates and propose enhancements
* Lead post-implementation reviews and drive ongoing optimisation
About You
Essential:
* ACA, ACCA, CIMA part or fully qualified (or qualified by experience)
* Strong understanding of financial processes, reporting, and controls
* Proven experience in a systems-focused finance role
Desirable:
* Experience in a multi-entity or group structure
* Exposure to project management methodologies
* Hands-on experience with Sage X3 (implementation or upgrade)
