The Role
A fantastic opportunity for the role of Advanced Social Work Practitioner within the Bromsgrove Area Adults Team. This is a hugely diverse role and no one day is the same. We are proud of the work that we do in our friendly and supportive team. Located in the Bromsgrove Area covering Alvechurch, Barnt Green, Rubery, Wythall, Hollywood, Bromsgrove and the surrounding villages.
Working alongside another ASWP colleague you will manage the day-to-day operational duties of the Bromsgrove Area Team. This includes supervisory responsibilities and providing an expert, consultative role in the delivery of the strengths based Social Work model.
The Bromsgrove Area team is a learning team and we do enjoy having students. The team does have monthly reflective sessions which the ASWP, Social Workers and Social Care Workers run to expand our knowledge base and learning. The Bromsgrove Area team consists of Social workers and Social Care Workers. We work in partnership with Safeguarding colleagues, finance, health colleagues, providers and housing in supporting the people who use our services.
There is ongoing support and training in developing in your management role and responsibilities. There is a weekly management peer meeting. This is an opportunity to give your ideas and solutions to improve performance and celebrate the succuss of the team. There are opportunities to be part of project groups that look at policy and practice. You would have the opportunity to help shape services in Worcestershire County Council. Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day operational duties of the Bromsgrove Area Team.
* Provide supervisory support and an expert, consultative role in the delivery of the strengths based Social Work model.
* Engage in project groups that look at policy and practice and contribute to service shaping initiatives.
Ideal Candidate
You'll need a professional social work qualification (DipSW, CQSW, CSS) or other social work qualification certified by Social Work England. Whether you’ve managed and mentored a team before or you're looking to take your first steps in developing your management skills this is a great opportunity for an experienced Social Worker looking to move up in your career and progress in your profession.
